The world is a beautiful place that God created. There is much to see, enjoy and explore. However, there is also danger in the world. This unique bilingual fiction book uses animals from the beautiful Chihuahua Desert to teach this powerful lesson. All though it is fiction, the mountains, vegetation, and animals are all realistically portrayed and drawn with the famous Organ Mountains of southern New Mexico as the backdrop. Each picture has details of hidden southwestern icons such as arrow heads and pottery, as well as insects unique to the Chihuahua desert. The colors are bright and eye catching with a “southwestern” style. Finally, even though the message is serious, it is written in a lighthearted witty way that reflects the culture of the border region of Mexico and the USA. Both children and adults will enjoy the pictures, the dialogue between characters, and understand the message.
