Books representing young black girls were non-existent for me growing up. As a kid, I never really understood why I would walk into book shops and never see a girl who looks just like me on a book’s front cover. By showcasing this photobook alphabet to the world, I want to show every black girl out there that there are people that look like you & that you are not overlooked. No matter what people may tell you, always remember, black will FOREVER be beautiful.
