Aldous Huxley’s book Brave New World and George Orwell’s book Nineteen Eighty-Four are both warnings about what Wells’ World State would be like. Huxley depicted dumbing-down with sex, drugs and entertainment; Orwell depicted Speech Codes and Thought Police. Both have turned out to be correct.
