The book arranges the Hidden Mickeys into six scavenger hunts, which offer cryptic Clues to Mickey’s hiding places. There’s a scavenger hunt for each theme park, one for the resort hotels, and one for all the rest of Walt Disney World. The guest can earn points for finding each Hidden Mickey with only the Clue. Hidden Mickeys are rated from one to five points, and more subtle and hard-to-find Hidden Mickeys are worth higher point values. If the guest can’t locate a specific Hidden Mickey with the Clue, then the Hint a few pages later will provide an exact description of the Hidden Mickey and its location – but no points can be claimed if the Hint is consulted. The scavenger hunts are arranged to optimize efficient guest touring of all Walt Disney World areas. The author also lists his top twenty favorite Hidden Mickeys, and he acknowledges by name all Hidden Mickey hunters who were first to discover a new Hidden Mickey.
