Introduction by Jack Zipes.

Torn from her hometown in Kansas by a tornado, young Dorothy lands in an unknown world. Thus, she begins a journey next to her dog, Toto, in search of the only person who’s able to send them back home: the Wizard of Oz. During their trip to the Emerald City, where this character lives, they will face innumerable obstacles and dangers, but will also find invaluable allies: a brainless scarecrow, a cowardly lion, and a tinman without a heart.

Over a century after being published, L. Frank Baum’s magic unfolds before us as if time had barely passed. With an insightful introduction by professor and scholar Jack Zipes, and the illustrations that have accompanied the novel from the very beginning, this edition pays homage to one of the most endearing adventures of all time.
